The sixteenth edition of ACT International Festival for Emerging  Performing Artists culminates a four days programme around  the risk, putting the accent on the innovation that companies take when exploring with new languages and to value certain discourses.

One more year ACT FESTIVAL has been made by artists that emerge to the stage . An experience of 16 years has shown us that they are the ones who continually renew the scene. Because the topicality of its themes, their investigative passion and the risks they assume, and they do it with great aesthetic preparation and technical development … But the result should be of quality, should pose innovative questions and use effective ways to be able to stimulate our senses in this accelerated time of virtual realities.

Around 900 attendees have visited ACT. The festival has been completed with two workshops given at the Barakaldo Theater, one by the Basque artistic collective Sra. Polaroiska,  the other by Ricardo Iniesta,. Also with the ACTmosfera meetings, held at the Bilbao Baila studio after lunch, where audience, artists and programmers have come together  to know each other and weave possible networks or synergies, to build a common language in certain artistic terms, as well as as to what risk means for emerging companies.
