The way we understand Performing Arts training.

As ACT International Short Pieces festival is organised by the theatre school BAI, we are in contact with the most varied and complete European teaching methods in Theatre and Dance. This makes us work with an open system, renewable and flexible, without any dogmas, with a continuous evaluation and changing capacity but with a clear direction. This way, we look over our system in order to achieve the best possible results in the training process of an actress/actor.

Participation and assistance are a key element for the development of the learning process, as well as the compromise with oneself and the group or group’s one is working with. Each student will have a different level of demand; depending of the starting level and the aims of the course will adapt to the needs of the group. The faculty meets several times along the course to evaluate alumni individually.

The main objective is to bring to the future actors the will to work and encourage both their own creativity and the curiosity to discover and explore within the acting process. Also to develop the technic skills they will achieve along the study-learning process, they should use after, autonomously, at the end of the course. Apprentices and scholarships in other centers are complementary to the process. The school offers job opportunities to the students to help in their professional career after completing their studies.
